We present you with a recording of the Baffin Island National Anthem, as performed by George and The Bowering VoiceMemo Ensemble, led by Kim Duff and Dano Pendygrasse.
This track was created with 7 iPhone voice memos, one zoom call recording, accompanied by back up vocals & instrumentation in Kim’s home studio, as well as a lot of care and attention. Thanks to Kim, Dano, Cathy, Jim, Debra, Renee, Chris Turnbull, & Tyler’s kiddos for contributing your voices to this effort.
From Aaron Vidaver’s blog: Recently come to light is this record of Aaron’s notations of each lecture of George’s Winter 1995 PostWar American Poetry course.

On Monday, he had a chance to meet 14-year-old Ivy Zhang and thank her at a recognition event held by Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services at City Hall.
